This blog post is dedicated to Allie's Grandpa who passed away just a few days after their wedding celebration.

Allie and Brian met as 13 and 14 year-olds when their mutual friend, Tyler, invited them both to go on a trip to Great America which Tyler says should give him the credit for Allie and Brian getting married. Allie was smitten right away, but they lived several hours apart so they didn't see each other much and Brian blew her off. That summer, Allie begged her older sister to drive her to see him but she didn't feel like it so she refused. Dana insists that SHE is the reason they eventually got together because "How many 13 and 14 year-olds relationships do you know that have lasted?"

Years later they met up again when Tyler invited Allie over for a party. Brian happened to be living with Tyler at that time. Soon they were together again. They dated for several years before getting married just after Christmas last year in a private ceremony.

I was so excited to photograph Allie and Brian's wedding celebration this fall! They picked a beautiful resort cabin on the lake in Eagle River Wisconsin. Their family and friends came from all over the country to help them celebrate their marriage and the adventure they have begun!

From hair and makeup at the salon to getting ready in the beautiful lodge with it's giant floor to ceiling windows, to the simple ceremony and reception before the lake, the whole day was very relaxed and flowed naturally. The wedding dress, which had the bodice decorated with beading and the tulle skirt starring a majestic train, looked even more beautiful with Allie wearing it. The speeches during their wedding and toasts afterward made everyone laugh and cry. I loved hearing about Allie and Brian's strong, Christian upbringing from their parents and funny stories about their teenage and adult years from their wedding party friends. They ended the evening with fun, outdoor games and lots of laughter!

Allie and Brian, it was a pleasure to meet you and photograph your wedding! You were both so sweet and made us feel like part of your family. May the Lord bless your marriage as you stay close to him. Congratulations!!!
